Do you perform beach weddings on the Outer Banks?
Yes. Rev. Melody performs ceremonies on beaches throughout OBX including Ocracoke, Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Hatteras Island, as well as at the NC Aquarium and in the Elizabethan Gardens, in Manteo.

Do you perform ceremonies on the 4x4 area of Carova?
No. Due to travel in that area being restricted by the tide charts, Rev. Melody does not travel to that area of the beach.

Do you officiate elopements in the Outer Banks?
Yes. Small elopements are welcome and can often be scheduled on short notice.

Do you officiate LGBTQ+ weddings?
Absolutely. All couples are welcomed and celebrated.

Can we customize our ceremony?
Yes. Each ceremony is written to reflect the couple’s story and wishes. We can make any changes that you’d like.

Can we write our own vows?
We can absolutely include a space in the ceremony for you each to read or say something special to each other.

How long does the ceremony usually last?
Typically, a wedding or vow renewal ceremony lasts about fifteen minutes or less.

Can you perform non-religious ceremonies?
Yes. Your custom ceremony can include religious elements, or have none at all. The ceremony will be composed to suit you both.

Do we need witnesses in North Carolina?
Yes, you must have two witnesses at least eighteen years of age who will be there to see your ceremony, and sign your paperwork.
